As you may already be aware, every PS Vita title will be available both in physical form and as a download from the PlayStation Network. Yet what you may not know is that downloaded titles will come at a discount compared to their physical counterparts.
In what I speculate to be a very clever profit maximising move by Sony, the only people really losing out here are the physical retailers. Sony makes a lot more money by selling games on the PSN and not having to pay a cut to the retailer.
People will buy games from the PSN to save money but more downloads means you, the user, will require more space, which of course means more memory cards.
It remains to be seen what, if any, DRM will be attached to Vita titles, a lack of which could make them easier to backup without multiple memory cards.
Best Buy will be selling codes for digital copies of games at a 10% discount to their physical equivalent.
