World of Warplanes developer Wargaming.net has made the interesting decision to include dragons in their game!
World of Warplanes is a combat based, flight simulating MMO set across World War 2. While it is still being developed, current features are due to include dogfights, various classes of Warplane and a high level of customisability for players who want to perfect their planes.
However, Wargaming.net have also announced today that when the game enters beta later this year it will also contain dragons. The developer has stated that:
“…the initial tech tree will include 12 dragons and will eventually expand to more than 60 creatures. Each mystical animal will have its own peculiarities and strategic employment. Players can upgrade several key characteristics including fire intensity level, color, number of claws, horns, wingspan and skin thickness.”
Personally, I love dragons so the addition of them into any game is a plus in my eyes, although I am not quite sure how they are going to incorporate them into the 1930s and 40s theme of this game.
World of Warplanes is provisionally due to be released for PC in 2012.

Looks like April Fool’s Day is coming a bit early this year.
It’s because it’s on a Sunday.
More than 60 creatures? Sounds like it ruins the game to be honest.
