Well, almost two weeks ago we posted that Final Fantasy VII was likely coming to Steam and that we would hear word shortly. Then, almost a week later, the Sqaure Enix CEO said that they aren’t working on a Final Fantasy VII remake and wouldn’t make it until they made a game that was just as good, if not better than FF7. Now Square Enix has confirmed FF7 for the PC in a reworked version by posting a trailer for it on YouTube and opening up a site for the game.
Our first news posting details what the description will be on Steam, likely Steam anyway, and I will summarize it here. There will be 36 achievements for players to get, the game will cost around $12.50, and there seems to be a new feature in the game called “Character Booster,” which will allow you to increase your HP, MP, and Gil so that you can get past a difficult part of the game if you are having trouble.
You can check out the official site here, for more information that will be coming soon. There is no release date yet, all the site says is “soon.”
