THQ has been working on a South Park video game for some time. Titled “South Park: The Stick of Truth,” the game is about an “epic quest to become… cool.” Players will get to create their own South Park character to play as.
Although THQ has been struggling financially this year and has also delayed the game (possibly the two are related?), South Park: The Stick of Truth does have a release date now: March 5, 2013. The game will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
But anyway, you’re only here to see the screenshots, right? THQ released four new screenshots for the game via its Facebook page today. Check them out below. They’re interesting and eclectic.
It is pretty awesome how well Obsidian captured the style of South Park. It really looks as though I am watching an episode of it. I am pretty excited about this, almost regardless of gameplay – but I have faith in Obsidian as they have worked on a lot of big name stuff in the past. All of which were pretty well received, like KOTOR 2
