PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale to Release this Fall

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has finally gotten a release date. After showing the game off on GTTV and at E3 and building up hype with new character announcements, SuperBot Entertainment has finally announced a release date of October 23, 2012.

With the release date announcement came details about pre-order incentives as well. Players who pre-order the game will get exclusive costumes for the characters. Other costumes can be obtained later, but the pre-order set will be exclusive. The costumes aren’t revealed, but players can pre-order at Target, Amazon.com, Best Buy, GameStop, and Wal Mart.

Furthermore, two new characters will be revealed tonight at 6:00 PM PST at the PS All-Stars Battle Royale Exhibition Presentation at EVO in Las Vegas. If you won’t be there yourself to catch the big reveal, you can watch it on the PS Blog. Or just check back here later tonight when we update this page with the announced characters.

Update: Toro Inoue (the Sony cat) and Heihachi Mishima (from Tekken) were announced at EVO 2012. Heihachi will be a melee oriented fighter while Toro will have three stances to switch between. Heihachi actually summons help from Kuma if you use the level 2 super. Awesome.
