The people at Brady Games ran through Borderlands 2 for their strategy guide. It took them a good deal of time just to see what the upcoming FPS has to offer.
According to Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford:
“That very first, quick playthrough took them 58 hours, so they had to extend the time here to more than double, and come back a second time just to see everything.”
That’s a lot of content. You’ve got to wonder just what kind of diversity Borderlands 2 will have to keep someone’s attention for at least 60 hours.
Pitchford seems to be saying that the minimum amount of play time for people just racing through the game and not looking, reading, exploring, etc. is 60 hours. So does that mean that a normal run through is more like 80 hours? We’ll have to wait and see.
Borderlands 2 is set to release on September 18th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
