In a recent post from Kotaku, it seems that an image of a letter from Ubisoft to GameStop was sent to them this past weekend. In short, the letter thanks GameStop for their hard work in surpassing Ubisoft’s pre-order goals and states that pre-orders will soon be available for a Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed 3.
Wait, what? In addition, they have already taken actions to set up a post-release DLC development team to “continue the Game of the Year experience that Assassin’s Creed 3 will undoubtedly deliver.”
It seems that you’ll be able to pre-order Assassin’s Creed 3 with a Season Pass in the near future. There’s no mention yet of whether this DLC will be strictly single player (like Assassin’s Creed 2) or not.
Here’s to hoping that the new DLC is similar to the Da Vinci DLC for Assassin’s Creed 2 – not needed to get the intended experience.
