New Wii U box art has appeared on the Canadian Amazon website. Amazon.ca has posted images for Just Dance 4, The Avengers: Battle for Earth and Assassin’s Creed III. Now, keep in mind that these may just be placeholder images, and both Nintendo and Ubisoft have not commented on the validity of these images.
You can see the images yourself below. What do you think of the design? I like it, although there’s only so much you can like about a company logo on a box. Obviously.
Update: GameTrailers has gotten a confirmation from a Ubisoft PR spokesperson, Mr. Michael Beadle, who says: “Why yes, the Wii U box art you sent is legit; in fact, it’s too legit to quit.” Whatever that means.
I think it looks pretty generic. But then, the Wii’s box art was pretty simple, too…
Looking at the images closely, the Wii U caption looks copy-pasted onto each image. It distorts at exactly the same spots on every picture. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean these images aren’t valid. I just believe that they all happened to be created from a template.
And now it’s confirmed. I hope they don’t have wonky dimensions. I want the cases to fit evenly with my other games.
Yeah, it threw me off when PS3 cases were suddenly the size of blu ray cases.
