Bethesda has announced the next installment of downloadable content for their successful Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, entitled Hearthfire.
It would appear that this latest downloadable content has a focus on social and familial bonds, allowing players to create their own houses, and also adopt children. This, coupled with the already-included feature of marriage will allow players to create their own families.
The house creation tools look fairly comprehensive, allowing players to add green houses, alchemy labs and, most importantly, mounted mud crabs. Players can also hire stewards to maintain and furnish their houses for them whilst they are out questing in the world of Skyrim.
Hearthfire will be available on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points and is due on September 4th 2012

Dawnguard for PS3 is still missing. Man, someone’s butt must really be cooking in the fire.
This looks interesting but it feels a little late in the game. There are many mods that are capable of this already.
Sims: Skyrim Edition.
I feel the same way. Now if only this DLC came with more options for partners or even multiple ones.
