L.A. Noire Developers’ Next Game, Whore of the Orient, for Next Gen

Today Team Bondi, the developers behind the successful L.A. Noire game, unveiled their next game, Whore of the Orient, which is being developed for next generation consoles and PCs. The game is set in 1936 Shanghai, and if the level of detail that Team Bondi displayed in L.A. Noire is maintained for Whore of the Orient, players can expect to find themselves in a richly realistic Shanghai setting.

A description of the game from the official website:

“Shanghai, 1936. Whore of the Orient. Paris of the East. The most corrupt and decadent city on the planet, where anything can be had or done for the right price. Plaything of Western powers who greedily exploit the Chinese masses. Boiling pot of Chinese nationalism, with the Kuomintang ruthlessly trying to suppress Communism and the labour movement. Home to the International Police Force, a group of Western cops hopelessly trying to keep the lid on and keep the peace.”

As someone who has studied the origins of Chinese Communism, that aspect of the game alone is enough to entice me. What do you think?
