The PS Vita hasn’t exactly been stellar with its game releases. It’s actually rather dry with a few spots of greatness.
The handheld simply needs more top quality games. That’s where LittleBigPlanet PS Vita comes in. The blandly titled platformer will be arriving on North American shelves on September 25, 2012. That’s a Tuesday if you were wondering.
Carnivalia, a whimsical fairground planet, will be the location of choice for this LittleBigPlanet title. This game’s story doesn’t have a Collector or Negativitron as its antagonist. Instead, we’ll meet the Puppeteer, the sinister source of Carnivalia’s corruption.
Like games before it, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita will have a level editor and mass networking opportunities available. Since the PS Vita has a capable camera, players can also take bits of the real world and easily import them into their level creations. I foresee a lot of copyrighted material uploaded to the game’s community archives.
Unlike the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet, this one has multiplayer, so get ready to get good and rowdy. Pull a buddy off a cliff for me. Being such nice people, we’ve also prepared a featurette video for you guys to watch. OK, so it’s not our video but it’s cool all the same.
