Konami have released dates and information regarding the release of the Metal Gear Solid HD instalments. The HD remakes of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be available for download on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on August 21st. These will also be released together on Xbox Live as the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on the same day.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be released on the PSN Store and Xbox Live a week later on August 28th. The full Metal Gear Solid HD Collection including Sons of Liberty, Snake Eater and Peace Walker will be available on the PSN Store the same day.
Will you be picking up these HD collections? I spent almost half an hour searching the PSN Store for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection before realising it wasn’t there. I didn’t know what Konami were thinking. Snake Eater was one of the best games I have ever played on PS2, and I never managed to play Sons of Liberty, so it’s a must-have for me.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is a day one purchase for me. Don’t think I’ll bother with Peace Walker or 2 though, unless they’re fairly priced. Knowing Microsoft however, they’ll most likely charge around 30 quid for the lot and £15 for them individually.
I agree, although I’ll definitely be picking up MGS 2 because I’ve never had the opportunity to play it fully. It won’t just be Microsoft, I’m sure Sony will have a similar pricing. Apparently Peace Walker is a great Metal Gear title, it expands on the story of 3 as it follows Big Boss again, so I’d probably pick them all up.
