At Sony’s press conference at Gamescom today, new changes were announced for the PlayStation Plus service.
Firstly, the well-received Red Dead Redemption will be the game of the month for September. This has only been confirmed for Europe however, no word on whether it will reach anywhere else.
Secondly, Sony introduced an increase in cloud storage for PlayStation Plus users, increasing from 150MB to 1GB, allowing for more space for all of those game saves. Sony also announced that PlayStation Plus will also be coming to PlayStation Vita, although no date has been mentioned.
Finally, as a little side note, Sony is encouraging those who do not already have PlayStation Plus to give it a try by offering a 25% discount on PlayStation Plus membership in September. Again, this is only confirmed in Europe.
