Activision has officially unveiled the PC Specs for its upcoming title, Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The specs were posted on the official blog earlier today.
The Minimum System Requirements are as follows:
- OS: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7
- CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHz
- Memory: 2GB for 32-bit OS or 4GB for 64-bit OS
- Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 3870 512 MB
Yes, if you’re still running Windows XP, you will NOT be able to play Black Ops II. Looks like it’s time to finally upgrade. Additionally, Activision has not included a framerate cap. There will be “an adjustable FPS cap slider” under game options, with the minimum setting being “off,” or, no cap.
Considering that the Call of Duty series is so popular, it is interesting that Black Ops II will not be playable on Windows XP. A lot of people still use XP, and asking them to upgrade just to play your game may prove to be too high of a demand. What do you think?
