Shunichi Suzuki, former President and CEO of Atlus USA has recently been hired by XSEED Games to fill the roles of President, CEO, and CFO. Suzuki led Atlus USA from 2004 to 2012 and brought us series such as: Trauma Center, Persona, Demon’s Souls and Catherine. Suzuki had this to say on his move from Atlus to XSEED:
“I have always respected XSEED Games, so this was an opportunity I could not pass up. This is an exciting time for the industry and our company, and I look forward to navigating a course of success through the exciting changes in store as we advance XSEED’s publishing efforts by bringing even more highly anticipated titles to market across multiple platforms.”
In addition to the acquisition of a new CEO, Ken Berry, a founding member of XSEED Games, has been promoted to Executive Vice President. His current job includes managing publishing operations. Regarding XSEED’s new CEO, Berry said:
“Suzuki-san brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience that will no doubt benefit XSEED Games and our fans. I am looking forward to working with him to further build upon the legacy that we built eight years ago when we formed the company as we position ourselves for an even more exciting future.”
Congratulations to XSEED, as well as Mr. Suzuki and Berry. Seeing the great titles that Shunichi Suzuki was able to bring to the US, I have high hopes for the future of XSEED Games.
