The Japanese special edition version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance looks particularly awesome; even better than its Western counterpart (unsurprisingly).
The Konami-style special edition will feature:
- the game encased in a steelbook cover,
- the soundtrack,
- an artbook by Yoji Shinkawa,
- a figure of the creepy three-armed sentries, and
- a poseable ninja Raiden figure.
Compared to the US special edition, which only offers the soundtrack and a lava lamp in the shape of a sword, I think the Japanese got the better deal. Also, rumour has it that the special editions will both include a Gray Fox skin to be used in-game. Frankly, I think that’s awesome enough to warrant a purchase.
The Japanese Premium Package is to be priced at around 12980 Yen, which is approximately £100, while the US Special Edition package has yet to receive a price tag.
