Fans of Metal Gear Solid who have been eagerly awaiting the Zone of the Enders HD collection for a chance to get their hands on a demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance may want to hold on for a second before they buy anything. Especially if they are PS3 owners.
It seems that the Revengeance demo is riddled with bugs on the PS3, one of which is a nasty game-breaking bug that requires a hard reset of your PS3. This bug tends to happen when encountering the Gecko enemy type. That doesn’t sound fun at all. Check out the source below for a video of the game-crashing bug in action.
While the Xbox 360 version of the demo doesn’t seem to have these bugs (at least, none have been documented yet), you never know. Unless you were planning on getting the Zone of the Enders HD collection anyway because you’re a fan of that game, I would hold off on buying it for a while until the situation with the demo is made clear.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is scheduled for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 19, 2012 (North America) and February 21 (Europe and Japan).
