Screenshots from The Elder Scrolls Online, the MMO venture of the immensely popular series, appeared across the internet today. They provide gamers with a good idea of the look of the game and all of the various environments and settings they will be able to enjoy in the game.
From the images you can see both fiery and snowy landscapes, and some show off what appears to be an aurora borealis-type night sky. The screenshots also give players a good view of the various monsters and characters that they’re likely to meet on their journey through Tamriel.
But enough chit-chat. Check out the images for yourself below. Though no exact date has been named, players can expect to get their hands on the Elder Scrolls Online sometime in 2013.

Very skeptical about this game. I don’t know why there was a want to make an MMO really. Elder Scrolls h as been wildly successful doing what they have been doing.
I am especially skeptical because the Elder Scrolls games have had mediocre combat at best, so we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully they don’t just do the WoW type combat because most MMOs that try that fail pretty early on.
Wouldn’t worry about that. Since Morrowind fans always wanted to have a multiplayer TES. This is going to be bigger style (far bigger) than just a single player mode, but I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. Some other fan sites (e.g. tamrielfoundry.com) released more information at once regarding combat mechanics as well. The games play more like the single player games. You don’t have to wait for attacks or cooldowns. Also, I never really thought of their combat mechanics to be bad. In fact I prefer Oblivion and Skyrim over other games like the Witcher series any day.
Not gonna lie that looks badass… online forreal?!
