Ragnarok Odyssey, another game being brought to America by XSEED, has been given a release date of October 30, 2012 in North America. Information for other territories has not been released, but expect the PS Vita game to be released in Europe later in the year.
Ragnarok Odyssey is a promising-looking title that will hope to bring a new lease of life into the western PlayStation Vita catalogue. Released already in Japan, the title was well received, and is based on the hugely popular MMO Ragnarok Online. Similarly to its parent game, Ragnarok Odyssey will draw from elements of Norse mythology to fuel its content.
The game will be released both digitally and as a retail title, with players having the option of shelling out an extra $10 for the special ‘Mercenary Edition’. The special edition will boast a game soundtrack, a random pack of 10 monster cards and also a 96 page ‘Mercenary Guide’ that will contain art from the game, as well as help players conquer many of the quests, dungeons and monsters found in the game.
Will you be picking up Ragnarok Odyssey? Or have you already got a large Vita back catalogue? It seems unlikely, but let us know if you do…
