Retro City Rampage has a Release Date, Really

Retro City RampageWe’ve been waiting a while for Retro City Rampage and are glad to say that the 8-bit, open-world, no-holds-barred, 80s romp is actually releasing and it’s actually releasing soon.

Brian Provinciano, the man behind Vblank Entertainment, has said to Joystiq that the PS3, PS Vita and PC versions of Retro City Rampage will be ready to launch on October 9, 2012 in North America for $14.99. The game will be a two-for-one on the PS3 and Vita (one copy gets you both platforms). The PC version will be available as a DRM-deficient copy as well as a choice of either a Steam or GOG key.

WiiWare and XBLA versions will be available this year while the European Vita and PS3 release will be sometime this month.

That’s pretty damn cool. Hopefully it’s worth the wait.
