Team Meat, maker of Super Meat Boy, has officially announced a new game via an official blog post Saturday. The game is called Mew-genics and it’s all about cats! Well, sorta.
The game began as a “game jam” that Tommy and Edmund decided to do one weekend. They fell in love with the game, however, and it became their next project. So what is it? According to the blog…
“Mew-Genics is by far the strangest project I’ve ever worked on.. and that’s saying something. Tommy and i are very happy with how development has been going on it and decided that Mew-Genics will be the next official Team Meat game. We don’t want to spoil too much here, but we can say the game will be randomly generated, strange and involve cats.”
Certainly sounds intriguing. The game is progressing quickly, and Team Meat should have more information shortly. For fans worried about Super Meat Boy: The Game, don’t worry, it’s still in development.
After watching Indie Game: The Movie, I like Team Meat even more. I also LOVE The Binding of Isaac so I’m looking forward to more morbid cuteness from the mind of Edmund McMillen.
