Giant Sparrow has officially announced the release date for The Unfinished Swan, and it’s sooner than you might think. The game will be coming exclusively to the PS3 via the PSN this October 23, 2012. PS Plus members can get the game a week early, on October 16.
Not sure what I’m talking about? Well, The Unfinished Swan is described by Giant Sparrow as:
“a game about exploring the unknown.
“The player is a young boy chasing after a swan who has wandered off into a surreal, unfinished kingdom. The game begins in a completely white space where players can throw paint to splatter their surroundings and reveal the world around them.”

To celebrate the release date announcement, Giant Sparrow has also unveiled the first developer’s diary (which you can see below). The diary gives you a little more about the story of the game (the boy is following the swan because it is the last remnant of his mother that he has), its initial development, and how it became a PlayStation exclusive.
