Activision and Treyarch are promising that their newest DLC for Black Ops II is set to be the best yet, boasting maps overflowing with lava, re-imaginings of maps from the previous game, and… you guessed it… zombies!
Black Ops II: Uprising will feature four new multiplayer maps set in exotic locations. We have “Magma”, a Japanese village suffering volcanic eruptions, with lava causing hazards and forming new paths for the player to explore. Next up is “Encore”, set in the aftermath of a music festival in London. “Vertigo” is set in a laboratory at the top of a skyscraper in India, and finally there is “Studio”, a remake of the hugely popular “Firing Range” from Black Ops.
Perhaps fans will be most excited about the new take on zombies to come in Uprising. “Mob of the Dead” puts the players in the shoes of four famous mobsters, all played by iconic Hollywood actors: Billy Handsome (Ray Liotta), Al “The Weasel” Arlington (Joe Pantoliano), Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca (Chazz Palmentiri), and Michael “Finn” O’Leary (Michael Madsen). Finding themselves serving time in Alcatraz, the mobsters must escape the prison whilst fighting off hordes of the undead. I’m sorry, but how amazing does that sound?
Uprising will be available to download on April 16th on Xbox Live, and will be following at a later date for other consoles.
